SUMO protease (ULP1) is a recombinant fragment of ULP1 (Ubl-specific protease 1) from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is highly specific for SUMO fusion proteins, and cleaves by recognizing the tertiary structure (rather than the linear amino acid sequence) of SUMO proteins (Small Ubiquitin-like Modifier). The SUMO protease is active over a wide temperature range (4-37°C), ionic strength (0-300 mM NaCl), imidazole concentration (0-500 mM), and pH (6.0-9.5), and is compatible with a wide range of buffer systems for easy handling.
This product carries a poly-His tag, which can be quickly removed by Ni-column affinity chromatography after digestion, effectively simplifying the purification process of target proteins, and is suitable for a variety of expression systems and downstream application scenarios.
