Cas9 Nuclease is a derivative of Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 Nuclease is a nucleic acid endonuclease. This product is a recombinant protein obtained by constructing the Cas9 Nuclease gene sequence into a plasmid and purifying it by expression in E. coli.
This product has a DNA shear function that catalyzes site-specific cleavage of double-stranded DNA under the guidance of a guide RNA (sgRNA), generating a double-stranded break approximately 3 bases upstream of the NGG of the PAM sequence in the target DNA, and can be applied to screen highly efficient sgRNAs.
This product contains a high concentration of glycerol and is not recommended for cell transfection and gene editing experiments.
