Product Description
UNG enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of the N-glycosidic bond containing the uracil base and the sugar-phosphate backbone in the dU-DNA strand to release free uracil. The enzyme is effective in hydrolyzing uracil from single- or double-stranded DNA, but is inactive against RNA. It is temperature sensitive and is completely and irreversibly inactivated by heat treatment at 50°C for 10 minutes. It is suitable for PCR, qPCR and other reactions.
